How this becomes an Amplify Polypad

Amplify Activity Builder imports a saved Polypad URL. It does not import the live Next.js page, the animated Three.js scene, or a raw JSON file as a teacher upload.

The reliable classroom version is a native Polypad: use the exported 2D image as a locked background, then rebuild the manipulatives with Polypad tiles students can move, measure, and edit.

inside polypad

Build the native canvas

  1. Open polypad.amplify.com/p and sign in.
  2. Create a new Polypad with a fixed canvas.
  3. Upload quadratic-coast-2d-background.png as an image.
  4. Resize it to fill the canvas, send it to the back, and lock it.
  5. Add equation, polygon, rectangle, circle, ruler, protractor, number card, probability, and chart tiles.

Import the saved Polypad

  1. Save the rebuilt Polypad in your Amplify Polypad library.
  2. Copy the saved Polypad URL.
  3. Open your Amplify/Desmos Activity Builder activity.
  4. Add a Polypad component to the screen.
  5. Click inside the blank Polypad and paste the saved URL with CMD-V or CTRL-V.

What students should use

  • Move native tiles, not the background image.
  • Measure the sail polygon with ruler and protractor tools.
  • Use equation tiles to explain the quadratic curves.
  • Use number cards and charts to support a probability claim.
  • Compare two coast settings and justify which one has stronger wave evidence.

1Upload the background

Use the exported 2D PNG as an image tile in Polypad, send it to the back, then lock it.

2Add native manipulatives

Rebuild the sail, dock, buoy, measurements, probability cards, and equations with native Polypad tiles.

3Save and paste URL

Save the Polypad, copy the Polypad URL, add a Polypad component in Activity Builder, and paste the URL.
